This is an overview of the profile pictures I've used on various social medias that I remember/stick out in some way.
I found this from Above and Beyond Sirens of the Sea album videos on Youtube, as did many others. Earliest appearance acc to TinEye is on a site called infostore, although the WayBack Machine is down as I'm writing this. It's still my favorite album, especially for long plane rides. Just noticing that this version of the image has a little creature added.Big day finding this when I was getting into Wicca and listening to Adrien Von Ziegler compilations on repeat. Earliest I could find was on a site called allday.ru, archive by the WayBack Machine here. The black cat and the crescent moon are big motifs in my life, as I'm a witchy Cancer and night owl who grew up with three black cats and plans to get many more.I hope the tweens who made this graphic know how much it affected my life. I found it, per usual, through a YouTube video for a song I like. I listened to Arrival of the Birds and Transformation every day before school, clicking the volume up--my phone had buttons--at the climax. Two forks issued from that enjoyment. I fastened onto the song when it appeared in a perfume ad for Acqua Di Gioia, which I'd buy a few years later and make into my signature scent. I heard it was used in a movie called The Theory of Everything, which I went on to watch and absorb consciously. I didn't like it that much, but I liked the idea of liking it, of being in the know with people who enjoyed Artful Cinema.Another version of the previous profile picture, because I needed something fresh. This served as my Facebook header for a while, credit to TouTouke (Agnes Scholiers) for the original photo, although the warmer edit and quote in the bottom right is from Andrea Andrade on DeviantartThis is just a screenshot from the Nightcrawler movie. Jake Gyllenhaal opening his eyes real wide spoke to me in 2017-18, so I made it my Tumblr profile pic for years.Van Gogh's "Head of a Skeleton with a Burning Cigarette" is simply the hardest image ever made, and upon being reminded of it I will probably make it my pfp on some of my existing social medias or messaging apps.White Pharaoh is my gay wrestling name. I find the impersonal benevolence weirdly comforting.
